17th March is St. Patrick's Day. He is the patron saint of Ireland, the birth place of our Founder's Blessed Edmund Ignatius Rice. Ireland is also known as Emerald Isle. Emerald is also a gem stone which is green in colour. And they say that Ireland's landscape has over 40 different shades of green.
